Division Combine Policy
WSF reserves the right to further split divisions according to overall team size should total number of teams and the variance of number of performers on each team warrant this.

Important Information
*Based of the # of registered Varsity Coed 4 and/or Varsity Coed 5 teams. These respective divisions may be further split based on the # of male participation into Small & Large (Ex: Small 1-4 males; Large 5 or more males).
Teams "WILL" be scored based on the discipline they compete (Ex: Pom, Jazz, Hip Hop/Funk) on score sheets that cater to each indivdual style; however, WSF will declare a singular "Dance National Champion" based on the results of that particular age group.

  • These divisions must follow National Federation Safety Guidelines

Special Note: The grade restrictions mentioned under the information describing each division offered by the WSF indicate status for the 2008-2009 school year. Each participant must be currently receiving credit for their work from an accredited school at the time of the competition (Excluding Open participants). Any participant proven to be in violation of the age, grade or school restrictions will be automatically disqualified from the WSF event. Furthermore, if eligibility is challenged, proof of the violation must be presented to WSF before an investigation can be determined.
